I just came away from a pleasant afternoon with a friend of mine. We decided to meet for drinks at a hotel. We got to discussing life and what makes people tick. Surprisingly enough we all came to the same conclusion. Change the way the people think and you change their lives. Of course this means that you change their destiny.... . .
We live in the Caribbean. The word "Third World" just doesn't sound right. If I tell you everyday that you are poor, and if you hear it long enough , slowly but surely one of these days you will start to believe it. Then you own it. I rather like to use the word "Emerging Economy". More like a work in progress.
We have to get people into visualizing their desired reality..right now. Not later. You remember the story of the shoes?...
My mentor reminded me of this the other day. This is how I remember it: A salesman goes to a so called poor country to sell shoes... He meets people who walk around barefoot, so he gives up and comes back to tell everybody that shoe sales in that country are useless. Another shoe sales man goes there..Sees the people with no shoes..goes back and orders container loads of shoes...he is so excited and is beside himself as he exclaims...I went to a place where the people have no shoes...this is such an opportunity. I cant wait to fill the void!
We have to show our fellow people that it has nothing to do with our past or who our parents were or how we suffered. We are limited by our 5 senses. Its not our present reality , but the reality we desire to manifest that matters. Its all in the mindset.
Stop Chasing Freedom...Attract it!
