Last nights session on Brian Tracy's POWER WITH PEOPLE was simply amazing. For those of you who missed it here is a short synopsis of what transpired.It is usually something we already know. Listening to it again helps to reinforce it in our minds. REPETITION IS THE MOTHER OF ALL SKILLS!
Brian Tracy spoke on developing a success personality.This can only be achieved when we desist from complaining, criticizing and condemning.We have to focus on what he calls the 6A's
1.Being Agreeable- ( even when you arent necessarily in agreement) It raises and protects other peoples selfesteem
2.Practicing Acceptance--smile always, give eye-contact
3.Showing Appreciation-say thank you for everything
4.Showing Approval-by praising people. Do it sincerely.
5. Admiration- ask people about themselves,admire their traits and accomplishments
6. Pay Attention- by listening actively. Learn how to speak, Learn how to listen.If you dont understand, clarify by asking "How do you mean exactly?"Remember to rephrase what the person is saying in your own words.This shows that you were listening.!
He also spoke about the Art of Listening and the Art of Conversation
Of course there was lots more....however this summarizes the main gist
